Dr. Daryl Yost Community Impact Award

The Dr. Daryl Yost Community Impact Award honors the remarkable legacy of Dr. Daryl Yost, a cherished colleague and friend. This prestigious award celebrates the exemplary contributions of innovative philanthropists who lead transformational change within our community.

The 2025 Dr. Daryl Yost Community Impact Award Winner is Jan Diaz, President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau Serving Northern Indiana.

Angel Suttle

Angel Suttle

Angel Suttle is a top radio host, media strategist, EV enthusiast, and CEO of Suttle Strategies, a PR, marketing, and media firm. With a dynamic background in communications and broadcast journalism, she brings a sharp lens to storytelling, strategy, and service. A native of Fort Wayne and graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School, Angel currently hosts The Halo Effect, a culture-forward music and conversation show airing Saturdays at 8pm on 89.1 FM WBOI, the area’s NPR affiliate. She serves on the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana and is an alum of Hoosier Women Forward, a collective of statewide leaders driving policy impact across Indiana. Angel is currently studying Sustainability and Innovation at Harvard University, furthering her commitment to catalyze economic equity and collaborative impact through her platform. 

Brenda Jank

Brenda Jank

As a catalyst for personal and organizational change, Brenda is high energy and story driven, equipping leaders to explore transformative rhythms of work and rest for themselves, and those they lead, love, and serve. Brenda speaks from coast to coast and is a thought leader in the arena of Restorative Wellness. She is the Founder and Director of Run Hard. Rest Well. and is the mother of five of the finest, feistiest children ever assembled under one roof. Brenda and her family have called Northeast Indiana home for 32 beautiful years.

Christie Browning

Christie Browning

Christie Browning is a seven-time award-winning writer and a three-time award-winning website designer. Her background includes journalism, photography, graphic design and creative marketing solutions. Christie has written for newspapers, online magazines and major publications and is the author of seven books. She is the owner of Content By Request, an award-winning marketing company that offers captivating designs and unique solutions to build relationships, referrals and revenue. Her long-time career as an entrepreneur gives her a unique insight into what her clients need to promote their products, services and messages. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Christie resides in Northeast Indiana with her husband Mat and their three dogs.

Clinton Faupel

Clinton Faupel

Clinton Faupel is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of RemedyLIVE, a technology-driven nonprofit that produces interactive mental health events and operates a 24/7 staffed chat center offering real-time support to people in crisis. Since 2015, RemedyLIVE has facilitated more than 15 million chat interactions and engaged over 300,000 adults and students through its corporate and school programming. An interactive communicator, Clinton uses proprietary technology he helped develop to reach tens of thousands each year with a message that secret struggles don’t have to define your future. Raised in Western Canada, he and his wife Tonya have been serving communities together since 2003 and live in Northeast Indiana with their four teenage children.

Denise Mills

Denise Mills

Denise Mills is a Fort Wayne native, long-time community advocate, and former recruiting and staffing professional with over 30 years of experience building trusted relationships across the region. She actively serves on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lutheran Social Services, First Fridays, and the Indiana Tech College of Business, and has previously served with Greater Fort Wayne Inc., NIHRA, FEI, and several other local organizations. Known for her passion for helping others and creating meaningful connections, Denise is deeply engaged in her church and volunteers widely throughout the community. She is married with two adult children, loves to travel, and is an enthusiastic football fan—go Colts!

Dr. Andrea Robinson

Dr. Andrea Robinson

Dr. Andrea R. Robinson is the Economic Development Administrator for the City of Fort Wayne, where she leads initiatives that drive growth, investment, and community development. She brings deep academic and professional experience to the role, holding a Ph.D. in Global Leadership, an MBA in Management, and a bachelor’s degree in Technical Graphics. Previously, she served as META Director at the University of Saint Francis and as Dean of the School of Business at Ivy Tech Community College. Dr. Robinson is actively engaged in numerous professional and civic organizations, representing the city through the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones and serving on the boards of the NIIC, YMCA Childcare Services, SEED, Downtown Fort Wayne, and the Pontiac Street Market. Her proudest accomplishments are her daughters, Payton and Cecilia Hinsey.

Dusty Krause

Dusty Krause

Dusty Krause was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of The Rescue Mission of Fort Wayne, where he oversaw daily operations, strategic initiatives, and program excellence in support of the organization’s mission to serve individuals experiencing homelessness, hunger, and crisis. With a background in organizational leadership and a commitment to systems that create dignity and long-term stability, Dusty ensured that The Rescue Mission’s services were delivered with compassion, efficiency, and impact. Known for his collaborative leadership style and dedication to community transformation, he played a key role in strengthening partnerships, supporting staff, and advancing holistic care for some of the region’s most vulnerable residents.

Jan Diaz

Jan Diaz

Jan Diaz is the President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau Serving Northern Indiana, leading with a passion for building trust and helping businesses and consumers thrive. She stepped into the role in 2025 after serving as Vice President, COO, and as a member of the BBB Board. Her career spans higher education, nonprofit leadership, and business development, including roles at Ambassador Enterprises and Indiana Wesleyan University. Originally from Chicago, Jan has become deeply invested in the Fort Wayne community, previously serving on the First Fridays Fort Wayne Board as Director of Women’s Events, where she created meaningful spaces for women to connect and grow. Known for her people-first approach and ability to energize others, she is committed to strengthening partnerships and fostering an environment where businesses and individuals across Northern Indiana can flourish.

Jarrod Wilson

Jarrod Wilson

Jarrod Wilson is the Distribution Dispatch Manager at Indiana Michigan Power, where he oversees real-time grid operations, outage coordination, and system reliability across the region. With a strong background in utility operations and team leadership, he ensures safe, efficient power distribution while supporting continuous improvement in customer service and grid performance. Known for his calm, solutions-oriented approach, Jarrod plays a key role in strengthening infrastructure resilience and keeping communities across Indiana and Michigan reliably connected.

Mirro Founder Award

Established in 2015, the Mirro Founder Award is named after Dr. Mike Mirro, a physician, entrepreneur, visionary, and founding board chair of the NIIC. It is presented to NIIC members who demonstrate personal excellence, energy, passion, and exceptional impact on the community.

The 2025 Mirro Founder Award Winner is Jill Haskins, owner of Kainos Microschool, where they cultivate a community where every child’s potential is unlocked through a lifelong love of learning and a strong foundation of faith.
