What is in a name?

Tania D. Vanderlaan, Interim Director, Women's Entrepreneurial Opportunity Center (WEOC)

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”-William Shakespeare

You’ve likely heard of this quotation before from the great poet William Shakespeare. The reference is often used to imply the name of something does not affect what it really is. However, in this case it does. The Women’s Economic Opportunity Center does so much more than connecting women to economic funding. So, we slightly modified our name to Women’s Entrepreneurial Opportunity Center. We’re still WEOC.

Hundreds of women and underserved individuals in Northeast Indiana have benefited from WEOC’s offerings. Our holistic approach to assisting women in all stages of business means helping with everything from business plans to marketing.

Now in our third year as an SBA designated Women’s Business Center, WEOC provides timely and comprehensive, peer-to-peer guidance to women entrepreneurs in all industries and from all walks of life.

We’ve met many passionate, bright women with great ideas who want to take their enterprises to the next level—and we plan to continue building on that momentum.

Remember the name—Women’s Entrepreneurial Opportunity Center (WEOC). How can we help you make your entrepreneurial dreams come true?  WEOC Website
