Building a business from the ground up is undeniably challenging, but Fort Wayne entrepreneur Amanda Klingenberger has proven it can be done. She is the founder of Linden Square, a local company specializing in large scale corporate gifting campaigns. What began as a small operation in her home approximately 5 years ago has now grown exponentially into a thriving business.
With a strong background in healthcare, administration, and entrepreneurship, Klingenberger sought a more creative and flexible career path. Drawing on her previous experience in marketing and event planning, she identified an opportunity to provide distinctive corporate gifts.
To jumpstart her venture, Klingenberger turned to the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center (NIIC). With guidance from Leslee Hill, Director of Entrepreneurial Services, she sharpened her business plan, attended specialized sales training, and built valuable connections. She also found a community of other local female entrepreneurs.
Linden Square offers custom-designed gifts that reflect the unique relationship between the gift giver and recipient. The company sources products from a variety of suppliers and has expanded its offerings to appeal to a wider range of clients. While the company has benefited from the increased demand for corporate gifts, its focus remains on providing personalized service and high-quality products.
To accommodate growth, Linden Square has relocated its operations to a local nearby warehouse. This new space allows for an expansion of services such as in-house engraving and more efficient order fulfillment. While the company serves organizations across the globe, its primary focus is on building strong relationships with current and future clients.
Klingenberger is thankful for the support she has received from the NIIC and the local community.
